World of Greyhawk AGM
Marroc tries to make a quick jump out of the saddle, but the horse is still in pain from the arrow, and the uneasiness of the mount forces the Duskblade to dismount carefully (Ride check: 13 + 2 = 15 Failure! Dismount is a move action). With his feet on the ground, he looks around for goblins (Spot check: 20 Natural. Success!) and see an archer partly hidden in the greenery to the southwest. Then he gets his glaive ready!
Kael jumps of the horse (Ride check: 17 + 3 = 20 Success!) and moves into the greenery to his west. He is busy getting himself into cover, and does not yet spot any archers. (Spot check 4 + 6 = 10 Failure!)
Akardia draws her greatsword and move towards the goblin archer to her left. She clearly spots the little humanoid with the bow.
The goblin archers let another volley of arrows fly towards the heroes. One arrow whistles past Marroc’s ear and another just misses Alexia’s horse. But Hodgin feels the steel of another arrowhead, and this time the hit is more serious! Acardia is also wounded as she moves towards the foe. (SW Goblin at Marroc: 10 + 3 = 13 Miss! NE Goblin at Alexias horse: 8+3 = 11 Miss! SE Goblin at Hodgin 18 + 3 = 21 Hit! Damage 6. W Goblin at Acardia 17 + 3 = 20. Hit! Damage 5)
Alexia holds her place on the back of Fury, ready to confront the wolfriders! She boosts her luck in battle with a divine spell! (Divine Favour gives +2 luck bonus to Attack and damage rolls).
Radek follows up with a prayer to Moradin that will favor his friends and hamper the foes (Cast Prayer (+1 attack/damage/saves/skill checks) - 1 for the Goblin archers). He has his shield ready to protect himself againt any arrows. He looks around and spots the archers, two to the left on this side of the river, and two on the other side (Spot check 12 + 4 = 16 Success!)
Hodgin tries to get some cover by staying close to Yossarian’s mule. He casts a spell that will give him more protection. (Cast Mage Armour (+ 4 to AC)
The goblin riders splits in two groups, a group of two rides towards Alexia, while the other two circles to attack the others.
Yossarian clings to the reigns of the Mule, and tries to get away and hide in the forest.

Marroc uses his Duskblade ability to transfer spell-power into the glaive and make it glow blue with energy. He slashes out with the reach-weapon against the goblin archer hidden in the greenery. Although the sharp blade of the reach weapon makes a nasty gash across the humaniod’s torso, it seems to be able to throw off the negative energy from the spell!(DRR 8 + 10 + 1 = 19 Hit! Target has concealment DRR = 30 Hit! Damage 2 + 1 + 6 = 9. Possible Chill touch. Goblin Will save DRR 16 – 1 - 1 = 14 against DC 13 Success!) Kael loads his crossbow, and although he cannot spot any of the archers, he sees the incoming wolfriders. He aims at the one in front and fires! It is a good shot, and he wounds the rider! (DRR 12 + 6 + 1 = 19 Hit! Damage = 3 + 1 = 4).
Akordia moves forward and swings the Greatsword against the humanoid, but the creature sidesteps and escapes the attack!(DRR 6 + 7 + 1 = 14 Miss!) The two goblin archers confronted by Marroc and Akordia both sprints away into the foliage. (Withdraw).
The two goblins on the other side of the river continues to fire, and one of the arrows graces Marroc’s shoulder while the other misses Radek hopelessly. (SE Goblin at Marroc DRR 15 + 3 – 1 = 17 Hit! Damage 2 – 1 = 1, NE Goblin at Radek DRR 1 Natural, Possible fumble DRR 14 + 3 – 1 = 16 No fumble) Alexia warns the others of the incoming wolfriders, keeps her sword ready and spurs Fury in an attack against one of the goblins! The swing of the longsword nearly cleaves the left arm of the goblin from it’s body, but it still holds on to the nasty spiked club. At the same time Fury attacks the wolf, and two well placed hooves nearly brings the wolf down! Alexia’s follow up attack is another good hit and finishes the goblin who falls to the ground. (Alexia attack Goblin DRR 13 + 11 + 1 = 25 Hit! Damage 7 + 4 + 1 = 12 Goblin’s save against stunning DRR 19 + 1 = 20 Success! No stunning, Ride check 10 + 9 + 1 = 20 Success! Fury connects with the wolf DRR 5 + 9 + 1 = 15 Hit! Damage 6 + 6 + 1 = 13, DRR 15 + 9 + 1 = 25 Hit! Damage 5 + 6 + 1 = 12, Bite DRR 1 Natural, Possible Fumble DRR 15 No fumble Alexia follow up attack DRR 19 + 6 + 1 = 26 Hit! Damage 8 + 4 + 1 = 13) Radek draws his weapon as he moves to confront the two wolfriders that are circling around to attack the left flank of the party. As he passes Yossarian, he sees the fear in the dwarf’s eyes and concludes that he is just trying to get out of the fray and save the mule!(Ready attack) Hodgin sends a Fiery Burst at the incoming wolfriders, the fire exploding just in front of the first rider and successfully exploding in the goblin’s face. (Damage 2 + 2 + 1 = 5. Reflex save of wolfrider DRR 15 + 1 = 16 against DC 17 Failure!). The three remaining Goblin Riders rams down on the party, the two on the flank steering towards Radek. The dwarf swings his Warhammer, but misses (DRR 3 + 9 = 12 Miss!) as the two riders swings their spiked clubs against the dwarf, while the wolves snap at his legs. But neither clubs nor teeth manages to bypass Radek’s admantine armor (Rider 1 DRR 13 + 2 = 15 Miss!, Rider 2 DRR 4 + 2 = 6 Miss!, Ride checks DRR 15/13 + 2 Success! Wolf 1 DRR 6 + 3 = 9 Miss! Wolf 2 DRR 9 + 3 = 12 Miss!) The remaining rider confronting Alexia seems chocked by his companion’s sudden demise, it’s attack misses the paladin and the wolf is unable to connect as well. (Rider DRR 6 + 2 = 8 Miss! Ride check 20 Natural Success! Wolf DRR 7 + 3 = 10 Miss!) Yossarian looks at Radek with blank eyes as he continues to drag the mule towards the trees. Then the adventurers hear high pitched screams from the air! Two huge and fearsome looking bats comes gliding across the river, ready to swoop down!

Marroc leaps after the escaping goblin, but the foliage is thick and although he uses all his force to push the shrubs and branches aside, he does not manage to catch up. [Hampered movement = 15’]
Kael loads the crossbow, changes target and lets the bolt fly towers one of the incoming bats. The bolt graces the creature, but does not seem to have much impact. [DRR 18 + 7 + 1 = 26 Hit! Damage 1 + 1 = 2]
Dire Bats (2): The two bats swoop down at Alexia trying to hit the paladin with their fangs, but neither manages to bypass her formidable armor. They both start ascending again, moving for another attack. [DRR 7 + 5 = 12 Miss! DRR 8 + 5 = 13 Miss!]
Akordia tries to follow the escaping goblin into the bushes, but the small humanoid is faster. [Hampered movement = 10’].
The two western archers continue their escape into the forest, while the two on the other side of the river fires again, both aiming for the mage. He is probably considered the easiest target, without any cover and not engaged in melee. [DRR 18 + 3 - 1 = 20 Hit! Damage 3 - 1 = 2 DRR 7 + 3 - 1 = 9 Miss!] One of the Arrow misses but the other hits the Mage!
Alexia cries out in encouragement as she attacks the other goblin rider, steering Fury with her knees, swinging her sword against the rider and let the Warhorse attack the Wolf. The sword hits true, hitting the rider in the side. He drops his Morningstar and as Fury slams hard on the wolf, the goblin falls off the mount and lies stunned in the grass. Without the rider, the wolf swings away from the battle and speeds away! [Ride check Steer with Knees DRR 17 + 9 + 1 = 27 Success! Longsword DRR 7 + 11 = 18 Hit Damage 7 + 4 + 1 = 12, Save against Stunning (2/day) 12 + 1 = 13 Failure! Stunned for (4 + 1 = 5) Rounds. Follow up attack DRR 3 + 6 = 9 Miss! Ride check Attack with warhorse DRR 2 + 9 = 11 Success! Fury DRR 9 + 9 = 18 Hit! Damage 4 + 6 = 10, DRR 15 + 9 = 24 Hit! Damage 4 + 6 = 10 DRR 11 + 4 = 15 Hit! Damage 2 + 4 = 6. ]
Radek presses his attack and grins fierce as he tries to brain one of the goblin riders, choosing the one that is hurt and bleeding! The goblin gets limp in the saddle, and falls to the ground! [DRR: 7 + 9 = 16 Hit! Damage 5 + 6 = 11]
The fallen rider’s wolf is met by a small orb of rock sheathed it in arcane energy by Hodgin’s magic. [Reflex save DRR 9 + 3 = 12 Failure! Damage 4 x 1d6 = 14]
The wolf is badly burnt, but without it’s rider it growls and steers right for the wizard and the wolf bites and drags the mage to the ground! Hodgin is severly hurt and in big trouble! [DRR: 13 + 3 = 16 Hit! Damage 5 + 1 = 6. Trip check DRR 17 + 1 = 18 against Hodgin’s DRR 9 Tripped!]
The other wolf-rider swings his club at Radek but misses. [DRR 6+3 = 9 Miss!] The wolf snaps at the dwarf’s legs [DRR 11 + 3 = 14 Miss!] But the dwarf’s armor is good, and none of the attacks can penetrate the defences!
Yossarian has reached the foliage and hides in the greenery.
