I owe you folks a post in a big way, and I'm hoping to get to it in the next couple days. By way of explanation for my extreme slowness of late, I'll let you know that I am now gainfully employed and no longer a stay-home dad, since my youngest is now old enough for pre-school/daycare. In fact, we think he's been really wanting to get with other kids his age, and judging by how well he's been doing over the past few weeks we have no regrets over our decision.

Also, it's the end of tax season, and with my wife being an accountant it's a hectic time of year for everyone, especially when coupled with my new schedule. But tax season is nearly over, and I should be back to my usual nightly routine very soon, probably next week for certain. I won't be posting overall as often as I was before, but I should be able to maintain a 2x/week schedule anyway. We'll see if that holds true...

If worse comes to worse, I'll likely try to pare down my posting schedule by bringing one of my adventures to an accelerated finish, though I don't think it'll come to that. Anyway, I apologize for the wait you've been forced to endure and I promise it'll get better real soon now.

I'm going camping this weekend and with the preparations I need to make over the next couple of days I won't be updating this adventure until after the weekend. Sorry for the delay, folks!

Sorry Addiz, perhaps I should have warned you ahead of time, but I didn't want to delay my post any longer and so I went with what you had posted. I'd probably allow a switch between an empty hand and a 'weapon hand' as a free action with a DEX check vs. DC 10 or something like that, a failure of 4 or less requiring a move action and 5 or more resulting in a dropped weapon. I required a full round action only because BOTH your hands have weapons in them, and switching them in the middle of combat would have to be a difficult procedure, if you think about it.

Carrying a loaded hand crossbow seems dangerous to me, but possible I suppose. Don't forget the Quick Draw feat which allows you draw a weapon as a free action.

Urg. It's been nearly two months since Dayeinu's last post, and prior to that our Paynim friend had been posting extremely sporadically because of RL responsibilities that has kept him very busy.

But it's difficult for me to NPC somone this often (and not much fun besides, as I like the player interaction) and I'm thinking that I'll find a way to write out Dayeinu in the next few weeks unless something happens to sway me otherwise. It's a difficult decision for me, as the player behind Dayeinu is a long-time friend, and this character in particular is as familiar to me as is Sol. But I suppose all good things must eventually come to an end. *sigh*

Dayeinu, are you out there to try and change my mind for me?
