Setting: The gameworld is an Earth-like setting that has similarities to our own medieval cultures, ranging from the easily recognisable Frankish medieval kingdoms and Japanese renaissance shogunates to Masai-like tribal groups and Polinesian island-cultures. A player can either ask to get a starting culture to base the character off, opening the door for never before thought of character concepts or can describe his idea of a culture, which then will be found and used from the available nations and cultures. The setting has low magic proliferation but the magic that exists is exceedingly powerful. It is a poor setting in that characters will not likely own more than the most basic gear - a steel sword is a prize indeed.

Characters: Characters will be developed by the player in descriptive terms, in as much detail as they care to. The character as seen by the player will consist of a background, loves and hates, perhaps a psychological profile and education and skills. From this information, there will be generated a secret character sheet with the actual numbers and rules for use by the gamemaster. Characters can be human, dwarf, elf or faerry but exceptions will be considered. Remember that nothing comes without a price... humans are the norm and choosing a different race in a humanocentric world causes... difficulties.
