What are the rules for creating a second character on this board? I know that there are not currently any adventures open, but if and when one does open up, I would like to know what I have to do to start a second character. Thanks.

A general question: since you already allow the Archivist as a player class, how about the Dread Necromancer?

Wouldn´t this class fit well into Greyhawk, especially since the Ur-Flan were supposed to be experts on the fields of necromancy?

Would it be allowed, if I made new profilies under one account and used these new profiles for characters under different accounts? This way all PMs and posting would be under one account. This would make life a whole lot simpler under Yuku, than the constant reloggin from EZBoards one character/free account.

Example, Create a profile under another account called "Cora the Arcane" or some such and use that to post for this character.

AOL, SHAW and ROGERS - Unable to get to the board! [READ THIS PLEASE]

I've been trying to access the board through AOL for the past three days, but I continue to run into an error message reflecting that the page does not exist. No matter which forum I try to access, I get the same message. I've had to use msn.com to be able to find the board. Is there anyone out there who has been able to use aol? Any thoughts whatsoever? Thanks

Precocious Apprentice Feat

How does the combination of Draconic Breath and Precocious Apprentice work together? Do I still roll the DC 8 caster check to create the breath weapon.

P.S. But I think I just answered myself when I reread the feats. The spell granted by precocious can't be used to power the Draconic feat. It can only be used to cast the chosen spell. Am I correct?

Were the toughness feats form Masters of the Wild ever updated to 3.5? (dwarf's, giant's and Dragon's toughness) If they were not updated, would they require any adjustment to be used in 3.5?

Dwarf's Toughness; Base Fort +5, effect +6 HP
Giants Toughness; Bast Fort +8; effect +9 HP

Best way to "build" an Archer?

Hey there.

I'm looking for some input and advice on the best way to roll up an archer character for d20 Greyhawk.

The character is intended to be human, but looking at the skills and feats, I'm not sure if it'd be better to make him a Fighter or Ranger.
(The inspiration for the character is mostly from a movie from the 90's called Quigley Down Under, starring Tom Selek...which I'm watching on Cable atm.

Spirit Shamans and magic

I have a question about spirit shamans and how their magic works when combined with spontaneous summoning, a feat from complete divine.

spontaneous summoning allows me to convert spells into summon nature's ally, and it's usable Wis modifier times per day. That was pretty clear, untill I realised that it's a bit like meta0magic, and that needs to be applied when choosing spells and applies every time you cast that spell. To add to the confusion, someone on another forum...

In games in which I have other characters, I have noticed players being multi-class spellcasters and casting spells using their character level for caster level. However, my memory, and the 3.5 SRD state that it is class level, not character level determines caster level.

I was wondering if this fighter variant could be allowed. It is mostly the same, with the following exceptions:

-Lose the skills jump, swim, handle animal and intimidate as class skills
-gain The profession, hide and move silently skills as class skills
-lose proficieny with martial melee weapons
-gain proficiency with 2 ranged exotic weapons

Feats are as normal, although a targeteer can take several archery related abilities instead of a fighter feat. Only...

I am trying to locate some rules I read once about having a character start with the partial stats for 2 classes. Basically having 2 partial classes at first level and becoming full in both classes at level 2. Does anyone know what these rules are, or did I remember them from some other game or edition?
