River Quarter and Foreign Quarter

The River Quarter began as a road linking the wharves on the Selintan River with the market in front of the Black Gate, when only the old city was walled. The road became lined with warehouses and businesses, and it was redirected several times until it was quite crooked. The Foreign Quarter is considered the most cosmopolitan part of the city, and its variety and color make it highly attractive even to city residents; some well-to-do local merchant families even live here.

This unusual-looking inn is near the west-end of Blue Boar Street. Though most of the shops and taverns on this thoroughfare are known to be rougher and
welcome rakes, rivermen, and ruffians, curiously The Wizard's Hat Inn only seems to attract slightly less unscrupulous types -- spell-casters, merchants,
artisans, elves -- though it would probably bring more adventurers if not for The Green Dragon just down the road.

Kayla races down the dark tunnel, her heart pounding in her chest. Her right hand grips the prize that she came to this horrible place for: an onyx-handled
sickle once possessed by a member of The Cult of Nerull. Her soft leather boots barely make a sound across the cold flagstones of the passageway, but the foul
death-priests behind her do not need to hear her to know where she has fled... the tunnel goes only one way out of their subterranean temple. She stops for a

Here, on a cluster of small mounds sheltered on the west by trees and on the east by the Millstream's 'Big Ditch,' dozens of short demi-humans rent homes that have been built completely underground. Halflings from Elmshire, dwarves from Greysmere and elsewhere, and gnomes from Grossetgrottell stay here, usually on merchant or diplomatic business for long periods of time.

Few humans wander here, simply because there's...

This good but very anti-authority religion teaches that slavers, military and law-enforcement officers, government in general, and all lawful religions (especially those of St. Cuthbert and Pholtus) are to be resisted and disrupted at all times.
